Lawful Development Application

Permitted Development rights allow you to extend/renovate your home without the need for a full Planning Application.

The extra volume that is allowed for a Loft Extension in a detached or semi detached house is 50 cubic metres and in a terraced house it is 40 cubic metres.

This is measured as any volume the development takes up beyond the slope of the existing original roof.
